Studio 11 is a creative co-op space in Belfast City Center. The logo design is based on two intersecting boxes, which represent two or more creative forces coming together in one place to create something new that is more than the sum of its parts. This is enhanced by a third element; the illusion of a cube created by the two boxes.
The number "11" is also captured within the intersecting boxes. I wanted to use very basic shapes to show the fundamental, back to basics approach, which is at the beginning of every new creative venture.
For the brand feel, the classic movie "Blade Runner" was a key influence and the ancient Japanese style was also a key influence.
The studio caters to a wide range of creatives and creative pursuits. They wanted to establish a strong brand identity, based on the supporting philosophies of the head curator, Tony Haynes.
